A Vintage Splendor's Fall Firsts

September 12th, 2017

As we enter autumn, we’re continuing our celebration of firsts with Annette  from A Vintage Splendor  to see some of her favorite firsts for fall and how she gets into a cool-weather state of mind. Being from Los Angeles, fall comes a little late, but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying her favorite fall firsts which include: apple pie, picnics, and a drive up the PCH to soak in that brisk air. Can we agree these are all things we love every season as well!

What's a favorite first for fall?

"Ever since my husband and I started dating, we loved having picnics throughout the year in beautiful spots around Los Angeles. We still plan our picnics and bring Harlee along to experience this tradition. Every fall, we pack a picnic with some of our favorite things and enjoy the first crisp fall air at a local park in Pasadena. "

What's the first thing you think of when you think of fall?

"My sister’s apple pie! It’s not officially fall (in my book) until she bakes the first pie of the season. I love a slice first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee! It was also the one thing I consistently craved when I was pregnant."

What was your first Fossil watch?

"A limited edition Barbie watch. I still remember the watch came in a pink hatbox! My Mom bought it for me for back to school."

What are your fall Fossil favorites?

"The Neely watch ! It goes so well with my personal style. I love the simple design and neutral leather strap. Also, the Maya hobo , it’s an easy grab and go bag that can take me from a fall picnic to flea market with little effort. It holds all of my essentials, plus Raspberry is the perfect fall color. Just like my Fossil Barbie watch from decades ago, these pieces help me celebrate new moments with my family."

What is your go-to fall styling tip?

"It's still fairly warm in Los Angeles, so I opt for a wool fedora or beret and booties. I feel that perfect hat and booties combination is quintessential fall!"
