We love celebrating the art of curious gifting, and this Mother's Day is no different. The possibilities are endless when it comes to personalizing your Fossil faves for mom (think embossing and engraving), so we took things up a notch by giving you the chance to personalize your Fossil watch tin in a unique way. Join us at one of our three stores—3rd Street Promenade (Santa Monica, CA), 5th Ave (NYC) or Stonebriar Centre (Dallas)—next Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for our Made for Mom event hosted by three artistic ladies, Courtney Shannon of POPPYjack Shop, Jen Ramos of Made By Girl and Lynsey Eaton of TOMBOY KC. Expect DIY hand painted tins, personalized gifts, and of course, brunch bites and mimosas.

FOSSIL: OUR TINS ARE FUN NOVELTY ITEMS THAT ADD A WHIMSICAL TOUCH TO OUR WATCHES. HOW DID YOU PAINT YOURS?
Courtney: I usually try to write on any and every surface, so these Fossil tins were no exception! While flowers and patterns are always perfect for Mother’s Day, I tried to mix it up a bit with some wrap around lettering. Adding little succulents or plants inside makes the cutest little windowsill year round.
Jen: I decided to do something more modern and abstract with brush strokes and fun pink kisses for my mom’s!
FOSSIL: TELL US ABOUT A DIY GIFT THAT YOU MADE FOR YOUR MOM.
Courtney: This past Christmas, I decided to DIY a gift for my mom, and I ended up wanting to keep it for myself (don’t worry, I didn’t!). I grabbed a beautiful granite cheese board and hand lettered a quote on top of it about sharing a meal with family.
Lynsey: Back in the ‘90s, my mom used to love these lamps with beads hanging off of them. They were fairly expensive, so I went to the crafts store and bought beads and fringe and decorated lampshades so she could turn her lamps into the ones in the store. They weren’t as "well done" as the ones in the store, but I was pretty proud of myself.
Jen: One time, I painted some of my art on a white handbag for my mom…and she loved it!
FOSSIL: WHAT’S THE LAST THING YOU CREATED FROM SCRATCH?
FOSSIL: WHICH PIECE WOULD YOU LIKE TO GIVE OR RECEIVE FROM THE FOSSIL X ME TO WE COLLECTION?
Courtney: My mom is a flight attendant, and the Fossil x ME to WE bag charm is the perfect gift for her. Keeping track of her luggage is 99% of her life, and something cute and unique like this bag charm would make her bag stand out among the crowds!
Lynsey: I love the Fossil x ME to WE bag tassels. I am really into this idea of adding little charms, scarves and touches to handbags to personalize them.
FOSSIL: THROUGH THIS COLLABORATION, WE’RE ABLE TO GIVE BACK TO THE MAMAS AND HELP PROVIDE THEM WITH FINANCIAL LITERACY AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING TOOLS. HOW HAS YOUR BLOG HELPED OTHER WOMEN?
Lynsey: Before we started Tomboy KC, I was working full time as an attorney. It is a big part of my story, and I get so many emails from other women in corporate careers who are unhappy and are looking to move into creative fields. More often than not, they just need a little encouragement or advice on how to adjust. I love sharing the importance of following your passions and being happy with your career with other women.

Courtney: Calligraphy and hand lettering has been such an amazing creative outlet for me and has completely changed my outlook on life. I hope that through my projects and words, I am empowering women to find their own outlet.
Every purchase of a Fossil x ME to WE piece gives back to the Mamas in Kenya, and 15% of all sales during the events (from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) will go to ME to WE. Learn more about their inspiring story and track your impact here.
