Fossil Watches

Terms and conditions of WARRANTY

FOSSIL watches are warranted by Fossil for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase under the terms and conditions of this warranty. The Fossil warranty covers material and manufacturing defects.

During the warranty period the watch movement, hands and dial are the only components covered under this warranty. These will be repaired or the watch will be replaced free of repair charges, if it proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use.

In case of replacement, Fossil cannot guarantee that you will receive the same model watch. If your model is not available, a watch of equal value and similar style will be provided. The warranty for the replacement watch ends two years from the date the replacement watch is received.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Any defects in materials and workmanship of battery, crystal, case, strap or bracelet
  • Damage resulting from improper handling, lack of care, accidents or normal wear and tear
  • Water damage unless marked water-resistant
  • This warranty is void if the watch has been damaged by accident, negligence, unauthorized service, or other factors not due to defects in material or workmanship.

Turn around time for service watches:

10 to 30 days from the date of receipt of the watch at the Company’s Authorized Service Centre(s).

Fossil Leathers

Terms and conditions of WARRANTY

Your FOSSIL leather product is covered by a limited warranty against defects in material or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. A valid Invoice must be included to show your product was purchased within the warranty period.

Once your product is inspected and a defect is found due to manufacturer’s workmanship, we will repair or replace your product with the same style or an equivalent style of equal value based on the purchase price. Fossil will repair or replace the damaged leather products, if the conditions of this warranty are met.

This warranty is void if the leather product has been damaged by accident, negligence, unauthorized service, or other factors not due to defects in materials or workmanship, or a valid receipt is not included.

Your leather product will be repaired or replaced within 30 days of the date that we receive your product at the company service center(s).

 

Fossil Jewellery

 

Terms and conditions of WARRANTY

Your FOSSIL jewellery is warranted by Fossil India (Pvt) Ltd for a period of one year from the original date of purchase under the terms and conditions of this warranty. The Fossil India (Pvt) Ltd. warranty covers material and manufacturing defects. A copy of the Invoice is required as proof of purchase.

This warranty is void if the item has been damaged by accident, negligence of persons other than authorized Fossil India (Pvt) Ltd Sales or service agents, unauthorized repair, or other factors not due to defects in materials or workmanship.

In case of replacement, Fossil India (Pvt) Ltd cannot guarantee that you will receive the same model of jewellery. If your model is not available, an item of equal value and similar appearance will be provided.

For service work that is not covered under this warranty, the service centre may perform the services you request for a charge dependent on the style and type of work requested. These charges are subject to change. Such charges will be notified and agreed by you prior to performing the services.

The Company will in no event be liable or obligated for the payment of any special, incidental or consequential damages.

Your Jewellery product will be repaired or replaced within 30 days of the date that we receive your product at the Company’s authorized service centre(s).

THE FOSSIL GROUP 9-POINT SERVICE PROMISE

Customer satisfaction is our number one priority. To ensure that we meet these expectations, here is our 9-point service promise:

1. TWO YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY 
Your watch carries a two-year limited warranty. During this period, if a watch proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use, it will be repaired or replaced free of charge. Note that the watch movement, hands and dial are the only components covered under this warranty.

2. FREE REPLACEMENT 
We take great care in watch manufacture, and a watch goes through several quality checks before it reaches you. However, the odd one does creep through. If there is a manufacturing defect discovered within 30 days of your purchase we will replace the watch, with no questions asked. This does not apply to the battery (where a free battery change service will be provided as per (4) below).

3. SIX MONTH GOODWILL GUARANTEE 
Rose gold watches are particularly delicate, and the Indian climate can be harsher than in some other countries. So, as a measure of goodwill, if you find any discoloration on the strap, bracelet or case of your rose gold watch within 6 months from the date of your purchase, we will replace these parts free of charge.

4. TWELVE MONTH GOODWILL BATTERY GUARANTEE 
If your watch needs a battery replacement within 12 months of your purchase, we will replace it free of charge!

5. FOUR WEEK SERVICE PROMISE 
Many of our watch components are imported, and this can take time. However, we have a crack team working on this, and we promise to repair your watch within 4 weeks of it reaching us at our India service Centres. If we can’t fix it for any reason, we’ll offer you a replacement watch as per our replacement policy (below).

6. IF WE CAN’T FIX IT, WE WILL REPLACE IT
If your watch is within warranty and we cannot fix it for any reason, we’ll give you a full refund credit to buy a new watch of the same value. After the warranty period, if we cannot fix your watch, we’ll give you 50% on the value of old watch value as a credit to buy a new watch.

7. SIX MONTH WARRANTY FOR SERVICE 
We are confident of our world-class watch service facility, and we provide you a warranty of six months from the date of repair.

8. FREE BUFFING AND CLEANING 
We thoroughly clean all watches that come to us for repair, using state-of-the-art machines. We even buff and polish stainless steel watches, to make them look fresh and almost new. This service if provided free of charge to you!

9. FREE DOOR STEP PICK-UP & DELIVERY 
For your convenience, we offer a free-of-charge service for door step pick-up & delivery to most corners of India.

 

FAQs - Watches

WHERE CAN I HAVE MY WATCH REPAIRED?

A watch is a precision instrument and needs high quality care. We have a team of skilled technicians using state-of-the-art machines so ideally return your watch to the Fossil store or authorized dealer where you purchased it, and we will pick it up from there. Or you can check for an authorized dealer near you.

WHERE CAN I GET A BATTERY REPLACED, OR MY WATCH STRAP ADJUSTED?

These services are best provided by an authorized retailer only. Here are some tips:
- Each of our watches is designed as an individual timepiece, so each band is unique to its watch. Bands cannot generally be interchanged between models.
- Metal bracelets require special jigs to remove or add links and get re-sized. These can get damaged if not done properly.
- If an old battery is left in a watch, it can leak and kill the watch. It is important to replace the battery as soon as it runs out.
- The Fossil Group does not supply or sell spare parts to individuals.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY?

The warranty does not cover wear and tear, and except for manufacturing defects and the free replacements stated in our 9-Point Service Promise, it does not cover any other part such as a leather strap, case, glass, stones or battery.

HOW LONG DO REPAIRS TAKE?

When a watch reaches our India Service Centre, we examine it thoroughly and determine which parts need replacement. If there is no replacement required, we still clean and test the watch and then return it to you. This usually takes between one and two weeks.

If your watch does need a new part, and this is not in stock – remember, we have hundreds of watch models and most watches are unique – we generally need to import the required part by courier. This can take another one or two weeks, including customs clearance.

So the total watch repair time before it comes back to you can be between 10 and 30 days.
